The Scarf boards (and a new fest!)

I realized not long ago that I never did put these up. Adding tone recently for portfolio purposes and the film's acceptance into the Montreal International Black Film Festival makes for a timely post. Enjoy!

On an unrelated note, experience has taught me that the little voice of discouragement both A) is a liar, and B) means you're probably on to something good.

New story idea I've been circling around lately, not sure where it will be going yet.

Looking back at all these, I've realized none of them actually ended up in the final film, and LeRoy (the little guy) had to get cut out. The story took a different turn somewhere along the way, but that's not to say it didn't end up in a decent destination.





I think I'd like to make a film about brothers.

For those not in The Know, this is a board of sequential story panels (my film in its entirety at one point) that helped me organize the story into a format that gave a sense of visual flow, structure, and continuity. Before this stage they were a number of panels crambed onto 8x11 pages, and before that, scribbles in my sketchbook. Now they've moved on to leica format: timed out to serve as a base for the final product, where I've continued to analyze the story from a new angle again.
